All videos available from this web site have been previewed and assessed by Alberta teachers to ensure that they are appropriate for students and support Alberta Programs of Study.

COAC district members send teacher representatives to the Educational Media Marketplace (EMM) held annually in late October or early November in either Edmonton or Calgary. Canadian Media Distributors collectively host the event and bring copies of all of the most recent educational video titles for teachers to preview and assess. Assessments are shared and the top priorities are selected for COAC-funded provincial licensing.

As of 2011, COAC will do all video evaluations online. Reviewers are required to bring a laptop and all necessary cords to Educational Media Marketplace.
